According to the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEO), “The
amount of women and African-Americans’ employed as “officials and managers”
has risen nearly 33 percent in the last decade. For Hispanic and Asian
managers, the number has grown more dramatically in representation with an
increase of more than 50 percent in recruiting over the past ten years”. In
response to the current demand for executive and other senior-level
diversified talent in corporate America, The MBA & College Career Expo is
an initiative to empower social mobility by providing opportunities not
easily accessible to minorities.
“The Minority Chamber’s career events provide an excellent opportunity for
employers to meet, personally screen and interview highly qualified
candidates for managerial and executive positions,” said Doug Mayorga,
National Director for The Minority Chamber of Commerce. “Our candidates
have higher skills and impressive educational qualifications compared to
other career fairs,” added Mayorga.
